About the EARTH-SCAPES featured artists
Jim Freeman, originally from Texas, has been a commercial and fine art photographer for the past 25 years. Now living in Southwest Florida, he has been exploring and photographing the Ten Thousand Islands near and inside the Everglades National Park. Many of these locations are only accessible by boat. Jim combines his love of sailing and exploring, to capture images of these unique islands.
After photographing the deserts and mountains of the Southwestern United States for many years, Jim finds the wide open skies and panoramic views of the islands reminiscent of those areas.
His fine art landscapes decorate airports, corporate offices, and the homes of private collectors.

A native of Southport England with over twenty years of experience, Gareth Rockliffe has achieved international recognition for his soulful landscape photography and has exhibited widely throughout the United States and Europe.
Early in his career, the Kodak Company of the United Kingdom bought a number of his limited edition images to promote photography as a true art form to it’s public, the success of which brought about the World Wildlife Fund’s interest in using his unique images of wildlife on postal stamps.
Gareth’s work has been featured in such publications as Naples Illustrated, Gulf Shore Life, Portfolio Magazine, Life in Naples, and Boston’s North Shore Life.
A partner with his wife Jan Soderquist, in Naples based Soderquist Photography, Inc., the couple was twice invited to Sir Richard Branson’s private island, Necker, which culminated in a wildlife publication and a highly sophisticated DVD production.
A five times recipient of the title of "Honorary Color Master", Gareth received an international color award from the prestigious Photography Masters Cup. In 2013, Gareth won an "Outstanding Achievement Award" from the International Kontinent Awards, and that same year Clyde Butcher presented him with an award at the Annual Rookery Bay Photographic Competition. In 2015 Gareth was a winner of the PDN World In Focus Travel Photography contest and was a nominee for the International Black and White Spyder Awards.
Recently, Gareth and Jan started a joint project that they successfully funded through a Kickstarter campaign. They traveled the West coast from San Diego, Cal. to Cape Flattery Washington. In three months they covered over ten thousand miles. 2015 saw a major exhibition of the work at Naples von Liebig Center and inclusion of their Vidéage in the Fort Myers Beach film festival. Their journey continues in 2016 as they photograph the New England coastline.
Rockliffe likes to control the whole process of his art, from capturing the beauty that lays before his lens, to the actual printing and framing of his gorgeous limited edition museum prints. "Landscape photography became a passion for me after capturing a singular image. It was a pivotal photograph, as this particular day was the beginning of developing my own distinctive style. After years of shooting with film, my goal continues to be to catch the shot "in camera" with minimal computer manipulation".
"There is a distinctive style that threads its way through Gareth’s work which is a mix of both beauty and emotion and invites the viewer to that exact spot… that suspended magical moment in time."
